A
Wig And A Prayer...
|
This was no one shot
deal, that’s for sure. When Andy Bergman, Writer/Director of the movie
“Honeymoon in Vegas” solicited the help of local Las Vegas skydivers
for a scene in his movie he had no idea these guys would become instant
celebrities. There was no trick photography or computer generated stunts
used when this daredevil team of skydivers descended form 5,000 feet to
land in the tiny parking lot of Ballys Hotel Casino lined with thousands
of spectators.
|
|
|
Hey, that sounds a lot
like what happened when the Hoosier Lottery was kicking off its new
scratch-off game, Instant Keno. Thousands of folks flocked downtown to
the Pan Am Plaza to watch in amazement as these daredevils of the sky
dodged high rise buildings, power lines and traffic everywhere to land
safely with the first game tickets.
|
 |
It also sounds
like the time the guys were asked by Pizza Hut to make a special
delivery jumping into Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego during a Padres
game. Of course the “Flying ELVI” got
the call to launch the debut of the new Elvis Presley slot machine, the
Visa Las Vegas credit card, and the Barbie loves Elvis collectors doll
set.
|
|
The toughest jump of
all though was into downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street. Because the Fremont
Street Experience Dome now covers this area of Fremont Street, this is one feat that will never be equaled. |

|
Since their inception
nine years ago, the “Flying ELVI” have
jumped and performed at more than 300 events in 29 states. They have
appeared on countless television shows here in the U.S. and around the
world. Because their skydiving and stage performances are such visually
spectacular events they attract media coverage of all kinds in record
numbers to concerts, hotel casino events, mall openings, air shows,
product launchings and events of all kinds.

Now “Don’t Be Cruel” and
miss out on the extraordinary fun this amazing team can provide your event, or
you may be marked “Return to Sender” “All Shook Up” and wind up without
your “Good Luck Charm” down on lonely street at “Heartbreak Hotel” with
a “Hound Dog” barking outside your window. |
